Supporting the youth in underserved communities

Every child has a unique idea of success. Our initiative is to help the youth and families in underserved communities pursue these ideas to their fullest potential. We will achieve this initiative through opportunities, connections, and additional resources.

Our Mission

Our Mission

Star Players Academy’s mission is to provide the youth residing in underserved communities with the opportunities, connections, and resources they need to build fulfilling and successful futures.

The Star Players Way

Poverty is a powerful barrier to entry into secondary education and the professional workforce for any child, but especially for children in underserved communities. Children in these disadvantaged communities struggle with poverty at a higher rate than those in affluent neighborhoods. The cycle of poverty stems from systemic issues. Some components fuel this cycle, such as higher crime rates, lack of resources within the education and housing systems, and lack of focus on wellness and health. These issues contribute to the barrier to higher-level success.

We understand there is no one marker of success, that there are many ways a child can break the cycle of poverty. This is why Star Players Academy strives to work within underserved communities to meet families’ needs through sports camps, mentorship programs, community events, grants, and more. We wish to provide resources where they are scarce, giving children the opportunity to cultivate dreams of all sizes.
